How about some new numbers to update your home’s facade? You just can’t go wrong with these very cool numbers from 2213. They’re made of steel and powder coated, so they may even last longer than your house. And, don’t tell anyone else, but I think these might just be slightly better than the styling of the Neutra Numbers. (sacrilege!)
“Made of durable steel, the raw forms for 2213 house numbers are Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) laser cut and finished using a process called Powder Coating which gives them their unique steel buff finish. All house numbers are carefully inspected for quality, then packaged and labeled so they are ready to ship. Available in black, grey, white and orange.”

Nice. DWR has picked up the Firepit by John Paul Plauché of Plodes Studio. It’s one outdoor accessory I’ve long admired, and if I had the space (and money) I’d buy it in a heartbeat. Handcrafted of durable carbon steel, this Firepit also has two tops to enhance its function: a wood top for coffee table use ($160) and a grill top ($175) to make food a part of the party.

To say that a house is reflective of its owner’s interest is no exaggeration, especially in the case of Kempart Loft. The interiors of the home in Liège, Belgium are inspired from the client’s personal and occupational interest in precision engineering. Dethier Architectures has accordingly translated the 1970s loft into a futuristic one, with shiny aluminum finishes along with aerodynamic forms for the furnishings. The open plan is divided by a metal-clad series of small rooms, which sits at an oblique to provide two sightlines into a nearby terrace and the neighboring street. Vivid accents of color, such as the red dining table chairs as well as the orange and lime illumination from the bathroom, sparkle in the space as LED lights do on a circuit board.
